Inner World Design & Build Ltd have been announced as finalists in the Local Authority Building Control (LABC) All-Wales Building Excellence Awards for a unique cliff edge dwelling near Criccieth.
Having recently won the same award in the individual building category for both the Gwynedd and the North Wales competitions, they are very excited to have their work recognised by the LABC awards committee and by their peers. This building was recently featured on Channel 4’s “Grand Designs” TV programme. The site is in a remote area occupying a location boasting a spectacular panoramic view overlooking Cardigan Bay. The clients’ brief was to provide a stunning family home designed to make the most of the superb views and unique nature of the location. The clients’ passion for art and sculpture was a central theme in the design which was inspired by the work of both Frank Lloyd Wright and the designer of Portmeirion, Clough Williams Ellis.
